Fidelity Bank opening Front Street branch Monday

Fidelity Bank will open its second Worcester branch Monday at a highly visible location on Front Street at the base of the new 145 Front at CitySquare apartment building.

Fidelity has an existing location at 465 Shrewsbury St. and last year made a splash in Worcester by putting its name on the two-rink hockey facility, the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center.

The branch at 145 Front St. will join an Elizabeth Grady spa and salon and a planned restaurant by the Las Vegas chain Protein House, which is slated to open in December.

Protein House opened its first East Coast location at the Apex Center of New England in Marlborough last fall.

Fidelity Bank’s latest branch will be the newest feature to open on Front Street in downtown Worcester. Already this year, an AC Hotel and an adjoining 110 Grill opened just up the street. A Fuel America cafe is slated to open before the end of the year at the base of Mercantile Center.
